Last night my sister and I got around to watching the pilot of In Plain Sight. Considering Mary McCormack really isn't someone I'm overjoyed by (I think it goes back to her West Wing character, who I really didn't take a liking to), I really enjoyed her in this role.

I kinda saw it as a Veronica Mars, all grown up & bitter, working as a US Marshall. She's snarky and hates being vulnerable, but you can tell she cares dammit and it pisses her off.

I'm really a sucker for snarky, tough women. And I loved her banter with the other marshall. It's awesome.

Definitely recommend checking it out.

I'm really getting sick of all these teasers for the new season of Burn Notice that don't actually include any new scenes/clips. I want some new stuff. I'm an impatient girl who has been waiting since October for more Michael Weston.

And if someone had told me five years ago that my favorite channel would be the USA network, I would've laughed a lot. But 4400 (which I miss), Psych, Monk, Burn Notice...and now In Plain Sight. Really good stuff.

I might actually get myself caught up on Battlestar Galatica in the near future. I'm almost through season three. The Lee/Kara dance is really starting to annoy me. I love both Lee and Kara on their own. They rock, but together, they just bug me lately. And I started as a L/K shipper, so this is surprising to me. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't love Anders and Dee as well...because seriously, stop jerking them around.

Once I'm caught up on that, I have to decide which comes next - Reaper or Lost. Anyone want to pick for me?

So far, my new favorite show of the fall television season is Chuck. It is awesome. I love Chuck. I want to marry him and have all his spy computer brain babies!

Supernatural still owns my heart, of course. And that starts this week. I am completely unspoiled (as I prefer to be), and cannot wait for it. Sam and Dean just make me so happy, even when I find myself worrying about them. And y'all know my obsession of Dean just gets worse day after day. I need therapy.

Finally watched the Burn Notice finale. That was such a great wrap-up of the first season, but I'm intrigued with where they're going to take this and I don't want to wait until next summer for more! That's just not right. I guess in the meantime, I'll have to write my Dean Winchester as a spy who gets burned fic.

Speaking of fic...I actually finished one story recently. It's a fic for the Supernatural remix, so I can't share it yet, but it didn't turn out too bad. Now I must finish the Spn/Blade Trinity crossover story. It has stalled at fifteen pages. I really need to wrap that up, preferably before new canon ruins it.

I cannot for the life of me finish this damn Supernatural crossover story. I don't know if I have a mental block or I'm just realizing more and more needs to get added to it, but I'm about ready to just kill off every character. Even my Winchester boys. And that's upsetting.

Yesterday, I got sucked into the Burn Notice marathon and then despaired that there are only two episodes left. Does anyone know if it's coming back in January like Psych or if it's going the route of 4400 with no new episodes until next summer? So upsetting. I love the show. It's perfect as it is and I just love Michael.

Why do I always love the characters that are somewhat emotionally stunted and enjoy the loner lifestyle yet still care about people a whole lot?

I also can't get the idea for a Dean Winchester story out of my head set post All Hell Breaks Lose part two. Basically, it's Dean taking time amidst the hunting to make himself a life list and to scratch things off...because in case Sammy can't get him out of his deal (though Sam won't hear talk otherwise), he wants to have done certain things. And it pisses Sam off when he finds the life list because he thinks Dean is giving up and Dean just gets pissed off that Sam won't let him have this. So Sam finally relents and they do things like visit the Grand Canyon and go fly fishing and listen to Italian for beginners on tape.

Dear brain,

Please stop with this. I'm already behind on everything. Do I need more bunnies? No.

No love,

Me

Tonight is the Justin Timberlake concert. Not my first one, doubtful it will be my last. I love my Nsync boys. No matter how much time passes, they still own my heart at times, even if they are now battling with Jared & Jensen for control.

Burn Notice continues to be made of awesome. It's smart and funny and I love the characters. I really love Michael and his relationships with the people he loves. They drive him crazy, but he would never let anything happen to them because they matter. It's so perfectly true to real relationships...we all have one (or a few) people who you love and would do anything for, but they can drive you bugger rather quickly.

Lunch on Sunday with some friends where we discussed the seventh Harry Potter book. Good times. We all enjoyed it...though my friend brought up some interesting questions of small details that I already couldn't recall. I think I need to go back and read the book a bit slower this time, so I can fully take in the details and the world.

Spoilers for the book...don't read on if you don't want to know about the book... )

Pandora.com has a thing for Hootie & the Blowfish. Or else it thinks *I* do. I have a Jason Mraz station and no matter how many times I click "don't like" for a Hootie song, another one comes up. It's awful. Make the bad Hootie stop.
